Hi! I'm Sarah.
I’ve spent over 20 years as an Occupational Therapist, but my journey actually started at Georgia Tech, where I earned my degree in Mechanical Engineering. People often ask how I ended up moving from gears and blueprints to healthcare at UAB, but to me, the two have always been connected.
My entire career—from specialty spinal cord and brain injury hospitals to home health and inpatient rehab—has been about one thing: finding the perfect fit between the person, their environment, and the task at hand. > This is where my "engineering brain" shines. I don't just see a hurdle; I see a system. I love breaking down complex challenges into their integral components to figure out exactly what is standing in your way. As a Certified Driver Rehabilitation Specialist, I apply that same precision to the road, focusing on driving evaluations and custom vehicle modifications that get you back behind the wheel safely.
But here is the most important part: we’re going to have some fun. I’ve never believed that hard work should be a grind. Life is meant to be enjoyed, and I bring that energy into every session. We’ll build a real rapport, we’ll laugh, and together, we’ll engineer a life that actually works for you.
